Performing & producing by age three, inspired by the realization that birthday cake on her face, was a crowd pleas-er, Natalie Ashodian has been organizing messes into art, entertainment, and design ever since. In college she co-produced the Kinetic Poetics Project, the largest non-competition focused spoken word festival in the US founded by Jeremy Karafin, now the Co-Artistic Director of Poetic Theater NYC for which Natalie does some consulting. Many part-time jobs, free-lance frenzies, mini tours, wacky costumes, music videos, start -ups, random acting, modeling, and creative partnerships later, Natalie re-met Anthony R. Miller, a fellow poet and organizer after years of not going to slam poetry shows and together they dove into projects like “ZOMBIE!” and others that would later be dubbed “Awesome Theatre”.
Aside from work at Awesome, Natalie has worked all sorts of corporate, private, and independent art events as a coordinator and manager for companies such as MAS Event & Design, Sequoia Productions, New Wave Entertainment, The Black List NYC, Berkeley repertory Theater, the University of CA at Santa Cruz, Tourettes without Regrets, Zynger Event Design, & Productions Plus.
